Leadership Development Program
BCASBO’s Leadership Development Series brings current and emerging school business officials together to build practical leadership skills and learn from colleagues across British Columbia. The series is grounded in the Ministry of Education and Child Care’s Management Foundation Standards.
Cohort 9 begins in January 2027 and includes four two-day, in-person sessions:

Financial & Resource Management
November 15–16, 2027 | Victoria
Governance & Legislation
Participants will learn with experienced facilitators and table coaches through case studies, small-group discussion and practical activities between sessions. The series is designed to help participants apply what they learn to their day-to-day work in school districts.
The fee for the full series is $3,000 for BCASBO members and $3,700 for non-members. The brochure includes more information about the sessions, fees and travel subsidy.

BCASBO is continuing to develop professional learning resources in the Ministry’s Brightspace platform. Materials from Cohort 8 and Cohort 9 will help build a resource that members can use beyond the series.
